Voter Information

The Auburn Hills elections will take place on November 6, 2018. You can find information about the election including polling locations and sample ballots at the City Clerk website, here.

Election Day Information

When are the polls open?                   

The polls are open from 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM.

What do I need to bring with me to the polls?

You will need to bring photo identification such as your driver’s license or passport.  View a complete list of acceptable documents.  

If you forget to bring your ID, you will be asked to sign an affidavit. (You do not need your voter registration card.) 

Can I see a sample
ballot before going to the polls?         

A sample ballot will be available prior to each Election.


Where do I obtain election results?


Unofficial election results will be posted after the close of the polls on election night.

Absentee Voting Information

The following days/times are important to note regarding absentee ballots:

  • Absentee ballots can be mailed to you until 2:00 PM on the Saturday prior to the election.  The City Clerk’s office will be open on the Saturday prior to the election from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM for issuing absentee ballots.
  • On the Monday prior to the election, you can receive an absentee ballot in person until 4:00 PM.  The ballot must be voted at City Hall and cannot be taken out of the building.
  • We must receive your absentee ballot by 8:00 PM on Election Day.
