There's more to a library card than a gateway to books and DVDs, did you know you can find a repair manual for your car, download free music, visit museums for free, and many more things? Check out the list below for 5 fun things you can do with your library card you might not have known about!

1. Get the detailed information you need to tackle vehicle maintenance and repairs!

Chilton Library is a database provided by the Michigan eLibrary with authoritative car and truck repair information for year, make, and model combinations from 1940 to the present.
It provides:
- Repair videos and photos.
- Maintenance and specification tables that provide the unique data you need for each specific vehicle.
- Step-by-step service and repair procedures, and labor estimating tool to help you confidently determine your next move.
-Wiring diagrams to help explain system operation.
-And many other features!

2. Get discounted passes to attractions all over Michigan!

Did you know that your library card can be your best travel companion? Discover hundreds of Michigan's cultural destinations and natural attractions with your Michigan library card! You can "check out" free or discounted admission passes (or other exclusive offers) to hundreds of Michigan state parks, campgrounds, museums, trails, arts & cultural destinations, and more with the Michigan Activity Pass! You can find a list of all participating attractions in the area here.

3. Stream and download music for free!

Freegal is a free music service - all you need is your library card number and PIN to get started. Freegal offers access to about 13 million songs and over 40,000 music videos. There is no software to download, and there are no digital rights management restrictions. You will see some of the most popular music on Freegal for your country on the Home page. You can use the navigation bar toward the top of the page to view different pages, such as Most Popular in your library, or use the search bar to search for artists, albums, or songs (such as “bruce springsteen high hopes”). Once you've found a song you like, you can download it to your computer or phone if you have the Freegal app. There is a weekly limit of streams and downloads that resets every Monday at midnight.

4. Check out digital magazines!

RBdigital Magazines offers full-color, interactive digital magazines. You can browse from the library’s collection of popular titles with no holds, no checkout periods, and no limit to the number of magazines you can download.
It features:
-Current issues — New issues are often released simultaneously to the print edition or with a slight delay to allow for formatting issues. New issues appear automatically in the library’s collection once available and are ready for immediate checkout.

-No limits — Check out as many issues as you want and keep them in your account indefinitely.

5. Play Euchre with your friends!

Every month the library hosts a Euchre club! Come enjoy a classic Michigander game with your friends and meet some new ones along the way. We provide the cards and the space, all you need to bring is yourself. The club is absolutely free and you can start joining in any month!
